Day 01: Arrive in Uganda — Entebbe → Kampala
Destination: Kampala (Uganda’s Capital City)
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your safari guide will meet you for a warm welcome to the “Pearl of Africa.” You’ll drive to Kampala through lush green landscapes and lively roadside markets selling fresh fruits, grilled meat, and crafts. Depending on your arrival time, you may rest at the hotel or take a short orientation drive through Uganda’s bustling capital.

Day 02: City Tour of Kampala
Destination: Kampala
Spend the day exploring Kampala’s vibrant cultural, historical, and religious sites. Highlights may include: the Kasubi Tombs (UNESCO site), the Uganda Museum, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, and the colorful craft markets where local artisans display beadwork, woodcarvings, and barkcloth. You’ll also see the mix of modern skyscrapers and traditional markets that make Kampala such a dynamic African city.

Day 03: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Destination: Kibale Forest (via Fort Portal)
After breakfast, begin your journey west toward Fort Portal, a region of crater lakes and rolling tea plantations. The scenic drive (5–6 hours) reveals rural Uganda at its best — schoolchildren waving, farmers tending crops, and the Rwenzori Mountains looming in the distance. Arrive in Kibale, home to the world’s densest population of primates.

Day 04: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale → Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, set out for chimpanzee tracking inside Kibale Forest. Guided by experienced rangers, you’ll follow forest trails alive with butterflies, bird calls, and colobus monkeys until you encounter a family of wild chimps. Watch them forage, groom, and play — an unforgettable hour of intimacy with our closest cousins.
After lunch, drive south (3–4 hours) to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where savannah grasslands open wide and elephants, buffalo, and antelopes roam. Overnight near the park.

Day 05: Game Drive & Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth NP

Rise early for a game drive on the Kasenyi Plains, known for large herds of Uganda kob and lions that stalk them. Other highlights may include elephants, leopards, and giant forest hogs.
In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where hippos jostle in the water, crocodiles bask on banks, and elephants drink at the edge. Birders will love spotting fish eagles, kingfishers, and pelicans.

Day 06: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha (Tree-Climbing Lions)
Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Travel south through the Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. You may see them lounging in fig trees with legs dangling lazily. Continue on winding mountain roads into the dense, misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas.

Day 07: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Today is the highlight! After a morning briefing, set off with rangers to track a family of endangered mountain gorillas. Trekking may take 2–6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located. The moment you find them — a silverback beating his chest, mothers nursing babies, juveniles playing — is one of the most powerful wildlife encounters on earth.
You’ll spend one magical hour with the gorillas before returning to your lodge for a well-deserved rest.

Day 08: Relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi
Destination: Lake Bunyonyi
After the intensity of gorilla trekking, unwind at the tranquil Lake Bunyonyi, “the lake of little birds.” Its 29 islands and terraced hills create a picture-perfect setting. Enjoy canoeing in traditional dugout boats, swimming (safe, bilharzia-free), or visiting local communities. The cool climate and peaceful atmosphere make Bunyonyi ideal for rest.

Day 09: Transfer to Entebbe & Overnight

On arrival, meet your Tanzanian guide and drive through Arusha’s bustling streets toward Karatu, a town nestled in the Ngorongoro Highlands. This area is a gateway to Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, surrounded by coffee farms and rolling hills.

Day 11: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Game drive en route to your lodge, spotting lions, giraffes, elephants, and possibly cheetahs hunting on the plains.

Day 12: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti

Day 13: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater Safari → Karatu
Destination: Karatu (via Ngorongoro Crater)
Depart Serengeti after breakfast and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend 600 meters into the crater for an unforgettable safari. The crater floor teems with wildlife: black rhinos, lions, flamingos on Lake Magadi, and countless zebras and wildebeest.
After a full-day game drive with picnic lunch, ascend to the rim and continue to Karatu for overnight.
